The weather in Egypt is generally pleasant but can get quite hot during the summer months. The average high temperature during the summer is 38 degrees Celsius (100 degrees Fahrenheit).

Egypt has a warm climate, with temperatures ranging from 60-80 degrees Fahrenheit (16-27 degrees Celsius) in the winter months of October through February and 80-95 degrees Fahrenheit (27-35 degrees Celsius) during the summer months of June through September. Rainfall is fairly evenly distributed throughout the year, but it's not uncommon to experience periods of drought or flooding during certain seasons.

Egypt has a hot desert climate with a long, hot summer, a short winter and lots of sunshine throughout the year. In the summer months (June to August), daytime temperatures reach high levels of up to 40°C (104°F), while at night, they drop to around 20°C (68°F). In winter (December to February), daytime temperatures are mild and rarely go above 25°C (77°F), while at night, they fall below 10°C (50°F). The best time to visit Egypt is between November and March, when the weather is cooler and more pleasant.

The climate of Egypt varies from region to region: it is hot and dry in the north; temperate in the Nile Valley and Delta; hot and dry in Upper Egypt; hot and humid at Aswan; semi-arid in Marsa Matruh; desert-like in many parts of Eastern Sahara; the Mediterranean along the coast from Alexandria down to Luxor and as far south as Eilat (Israel); arid along much of its borders with Sudan and especially Libya; humid along its western border with Algeria and Tunisia.

The weather in Egypt is pretty consistent throughout the year, with very little variation from month to month. In general, you can expect temperatures to range from around 20°C in the winter months (December through February) to 35°C in the summer months (June through September). The hottest days are usually around the end of May or the beginning of June; this is when you'll see those temperatures reach up to 40°C.

The desert regions of Egypt are more extreme than their coastlines. The average temperature in Cairo during the summer months is around 100 degrees Fahrenheit (38 degrees Celsius), while it drops to around 65 degrees F (18 degrees C) during the winter months.

  3. There are two types of seasons in Egypt: summer and winter. Summers are from May through September, and winters are from December through February. If you plan to visit Egypt during any of these times, we recommend bringing sunscreen and a hat!
  4. It's important to stay hydrated throughout the year—and especially during the summer months—to avoid heat exhaustion or heat stroke.
